Five Ways to Optimize Your Corporate Facebook Fan Page

Equipo Altavoz / Jul 2014 / 2 min read

One of the most important exposure windows for any brand looking to grow its visibility is definitely Facebook. This social network, which by the end of 2013 was approaching $7.9 billion in advertising revenue alone, is what brings brands and their potential followers together, creating an emotional bond that goes beyond a commercial relationship.

According to data gathered by the platform itself, 76.8% of users connect via mobile devices and 61.5% log in daily across all platforms. With these figures, it makes sense that companies want to have a Fan Page, but how do you make it more profitable? Consider these tips.

  1. Customize the URL. Once you've defined a clear, concise description for the Fan Page, you should customize the URL or address, to make it easier for followers to associate it with the brand and find it quickly on the social network.
  2.  Multimedia content. Photos and videos are essential for generating interaction between the target audience and the brand. Consistently using these resources will make what you want to show more visible and make it easier to exchange information with each of your fans.
  3. Statistics. For posts to be more effective, we shouldn't ignore the numbers that the different content we publish on Facebook gives us. Based on the statistics, we can figure out the time of day when our fans interact the most, which is a sign to strengthen whatever element we consider important. The best time to post can vary between brands and their target audience; however, in general it's recommended to share content from Wednesday at 3pm through Saturday, which are the days with the most traffic and fan engagement.
  4. Applications. Facebook gives you the ability to integrate other multimedia content from the brand: the corporate blog, YouTube or Twitter, an online store, and also encourage fan participation in promotions or contests (for example: EasyPromos); all with the goal of improving the user experience.
  5. Communication strategy. Every page must be backed by a communication strategy to insert valuable content. You can't expect followers to show up on their own; you need to develop actions that help build loyalty with your audience and prioritize fast, constant interaction for good communication feedback.

With all these tips, the Fan Page can help a great deal in strengthening brand reputation, building user loyalty and helping to grow the virtual community that follows your company.
